I woke up with little time to spare and unfortunately had to catch a cab to school. Luckily it was cheap. Class today was Conversación and Cultura. Poor Virginia was sick, so we got out early. I hung out with Megan and Katye downstairs in the cafeteria. In culture, I could hardly keep my eyes open. I have to stop this insomnia phase I'm in, seriously.
I was supposed to have my 3:00 class today, so for my lunch break, instead of going to Zumo Del¡s or ISA as usual, I went to my class early, turned out all the lights, and took a nap. I was hoping I would feel refreshed when I woke, but I was even more dead than before. Lucky for me, our class ended up being cancelled. I think our teacher doesn't like getting out in the rain. She is always impeccably put together, and it would be too much for her hair to try and come to class. That's my theory at least.
So, alas, I caught the bus home, and hung out upstairs all afternoon. Resting, but not sleeping. Trying to get back on schedule. I watched movies. What's new?
For dinner, it was just Matilde and I. Lindsey hasn't been around for the past few days. Her boyfriend, Daniel, is in town, so she's been staying with him. Which means I have the room and the family to myself. It does get kind of lonely sometimes, but I don't mind the me time. Anyway, we had vegetables - carrots, potatoes, onions, and lettuce - and chorizo, and my favorite, pumpkin cake. Afterwards, Matilde fixed me an infusion to maybe make me tired. Hopefully it works. My goal for tonight is to get some much needed rest. I'll let you know how it goes.
Harta con la lluvia,
Leigh
